Little Diamonds drops at Midnight!

"Little Diamonds" drops at midnight on all streaming services. I will follow up tomorrow with all the links. Stoked to put this album out into the universe, although it does feel like a small drop in the enormous ocean of musical creation, it is personally a huge accomplishment and very important to me to continue to create and share this art with all of you.

One other quick note - I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to my close friend, musical partner in crime, and business partner twice over "Osito" Aaron Bear Chan. We've been creating, travelling, and adventuring though life together since we were 14 years old. He was the best man in my wedding, and we spent almost a decade running an adventure travel company skiing and snowboarding throughout Chile and Argentina - having some of the peak experiences of our lives ( CASA Tours ). Aaron was the producer, mixing engineer, keyboard wizard, sample guru, and advisor throughout the creation of this album, and Little Diamonds was recorded and mixed at his house in Glenshire. Without him, this would not have happened. Thanks Chan - for everything!

New single - "Babalayo" - dropping on November 1st!

My first single - "Babalayo" - off the forthcoming album <Little Diamonds> is dropping on November 1st on all streaming services. This song was inspired by a real life experience I had in 1998 deep in the Amazonian jungle with the Shuar tribe.... mixed with a recurring dream about an African mystic named Babalayo. I woke up from one of these dreams with the song and lyrics running through my head... almost like Babalayo had planted them there to share with all of you. Keep an eye out for the music in 3... 2....1....

Artistic Inspiration for "Little Diamonds"

The debut album “Little Diamonds” will drop on November 13th on all streaming services. Reflecting a diverse mix of cultures, perspectives, and musical influences, it is an eclectic mix of songs that I have composed over the past 3-4 years, and tells a deeply personal story of my 50 years of wandering around this planet.

One of the unique aspects of this musical journey are the collaborations that are represented in this music and the album artwork. Here’s a quick story: in 1989 I started high school at Marin Academy, in San Rafael, CA. One of my first friends was Josh Kamler - a skater kid and artist from San Anselmo and San Francisco, and son of the late Bay Area artist and activist Richard Kamler. Josh and I have had many adventures over the years, and been very close friends for almost four decades. More recently, we both have ventured into creating music, both separately and in collaboration, mostly as a hobby and a way to have fun and be creative than anything that we ever took too seriously. Currently, Josh is a professional writer and an artist, living in Alameda, CA with his wife Celina and two sons Maceo and Carmelo.

For the Little Diamonds album, Josh is lead vocalist on “I Like You Better”, which was born out of a musical recording session during a weekend in Pacifica years ago with Aaron Chan (producer and engineer for “Little Diamonds” - I’ll get to that story in a future post). Josh is the artist who developed the album cover art, the inspiration for which comes from his project called "One Thousand Robots" -where he draws a robot a day until he reaches 1,000. Check out and follow this amazing project and some of the unique artwork that he has developed @one_thousand_robots

The album cover shows a robot holding a guitar, looking wonderingly up at the stars, reflecting how each looks like a Little Diamond from his perspective, but which actually represent entire universes of their own, with unknowable histories, unfathomable stories, and infinite possibilities…
